Default Elona Reach mino nerf?

Have the minotaurs in Elona's reach mission been nerfed as far as drops are concerned?

I just recently started a 55 monk and have been practicing here as I've found that if I pull every single mino (Easy to do) that they can spike me to death if SoJ is not active Great practice!

Anyway they used to drop about 500 to 700g in items/horns/gold but the last 2 days they've been dropping about 200-300g in items/horns/gold.

I'd think it was anti farm code but i've NEVER seen that popup at all EVER...and I do have Hints checked in the customize interface options screen.

I've noticed less minotaur is all, not worse drops.

I recently bought 55 gear for my monk, the Elona drops do seem a lot worse compared to 3-4 months ago when I used to farm the place with my ranger. Apart from practice and XP it's not very rewarding.

You need lots of practice then. Also, look into Bonetti's.

Honestly, Elonas minos have _always_ given shitty drops; that spot is only really useful for power leveling. If you're farming Elonas for wealth, well, I salute you, because you are truly a dedicated person. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they did get nerfed, because every newbie 55 and their mom farms them. Same thing with the griffins in the past.

If you want a bit more of a challenge, albeit only marginally better drops, try doing hydra outside of Augury.

You're triggering the anti-farming code. Try farming elsewhere to reset it.

Go do trolls outside droks xD.. sure the drops sucks even more, but its good practis too becouse they can interupt your spells for 20 sec extra .. also trolls are really good to power lvl at.. but also, i also think that there is less of the minos in elnoa :S seemed like there was more some time ago

There was no "nerf" to the drops there, you basically nerf them yourself when you overfarm the area.

In my experience, the level 24 Trolls drop far better items than the level 20 Minotaurs. That's assuming you don't farm once you've triggered the anti-farming code. Plus Shiverpeak Chests spawn inside that cave at times, which yield decent gold items frequently. And the mob of Avicara outside of the cave can drop gold armor. So if you're looking for better drops and XP, I'd suggest the Mountain Trolls.

I used to farm that cave for wood and I've never gotten a gold out of the chests there. I know I've spent at least a hundred keys on them too. You must be pretty damn lucky.

I am, simply because I farmed there with my Mesmer.

Trolls are tired of seeing Mo/W bots, so they choose to give their best drops to Mesmers!

Nah. My 55 monk has got some very nice gold Fellblades and other interesting stuff from the trolls. People just overfarm them.

That is true, the Trolls remember their frequent visitors, and choose to drop their good loot to not-so-frequent visitors.
